Getting out, connecting with the community for better health
Our mobile clinics offer medical, dental and/or mental health services to the most fragile in the community. And the demand has been greater than expected.
In fact, Western Sierra has expanded its medical clinic at Community Recovery Resources (CoRR), after an overwhelming response from clients at the substance abuse treatment and mental health treatment center.
Western Sierra established a half-day clinic at CoRR on July 2014. But what started as an innovative partnership between the two health care providers has become a one-stop solution for families and individuals seeking medical services. Burgeoning demand at the clinic encouraged CoRR and Western Sierra to more than double the days — and hours — of the much-needed medical clinic.
The CoRR clinic allows families and individuals to receive primary care, mental health services and recovery services at a single location. One-stop health care enhances the patient experience, improves outcomes and reduces costs.
Western Sierra mobile clinics also offer services at Hospitality House a homeless shelter for the region, and in Camptonville and Washington.
Western Sierra’s board and executive team, including the medical staff, are always looking for new areas to serve.
