 WORK EXPECTATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • Weekday Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Weekend Shifts Available
  • Call Shift Volume: coverage is currently 1:10, Phone only
  • Facilities Covered: locations in Grass Valley, Placer County, Penn Valley, Auburn
  • Typical Patient Load: 18-20 Patients Per Day
  • Patient Demographic: Young kids to Geriatrics
  • Procedures Desired: Ability to perform most standard outpatient procedures on site
  • Payor Mix: 63% Medi-Cal, 16% Medicare, 9% Cash, 12% commercial Insurance  
  • EHR System: E-Clinical Works

 FINANCIAL PACKAGE and BENEFITS 

  • Employment Status: W2 employed position  
  • Base Salary: Salary $98k to $128k based on experience  
  • Production Income: Income increases on a 10 step scale
  • Healthcare Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance for Physician: 100% paid for employee
  • Dependent Benefits: Dependents can be added at employee cost
  • Retirement Benefits: 401K with a 3% contribution
  • Misc. Financial Benefits: On-call stipend of $210 per week; eligibility for participation in employee bonus programs; reimbursement for standard license and renewal fees, professional memberships and association dues.

  • Vacation/PTO: 31.67 days of accrued paid time off composed of the following
    1. 10 days vacation

  • CME Stipend: $1,000 annually
  • Relocation Reimbursement/Sign on bonus: $5,000 paid in 4 equal installments of $1,250 each. First installment paid as part of your paycheck, and remaining three payments paid quarterly. Subject to prorated reimbursement to Western Sierra Medical Clinic if your employment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. Valid California license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  2. Ability to do minor laboratory procedures including urinalysis, wet mounts, blood draw and do cultures.
  3. X-ray technology license in California is desirable
  4. Minor surgery skills
  5. ACLS and PALS certified
  6. MICN or MICPA certified (Downieville site only)
  7. Provide the Clinic Executive Director with complete staff application, including a copy of license, NP or PA credentials, copy of furnishing license (if applicable) and three letters of recommendation.
