October is Flu Shot Month

Western Sierra Medical Clinic is committed to providing access to vaccines. During the month of October, we are hosting flu shot clinics for everyone while supplies last, regardless if one is a patient at Western Sierra.

Annual influenza vaccine is recommended for most people 6 months and older. For those older than 65, the high dose flu vaccine is recommended and available through Western Sierra. Please ask about the availability of other vaccines that may be recommended for your age (RSV, Shingles, Prevnar 20, Tdap, COVID, etc.).

The bivalent COVID booster is recommended for most people 12 years and older. It must be at least two months since your last booster. This is a booster that includes the original strain of COVID and the omicron strain, thus giving better protection during the upcoming flu and cold season. You may get both the influenza and bivalent COVID booster at the same time.

• Saturday November 2 (and) Saturday November 16: Special clinic from 9am to 2pm. No appointment necessary for those 6 months and older.

• Wednesday and Friday: Starting October 7th! Accepting walk-ins from 1pm to 4pm (wait times may vary)

• For patients 6 months to 5 years please call to schedule an appointment
