Dr. Jason McCraw joined Western Sierra Medical Clinic in 2023. Dr. McCraw’s goal is “to provide patient-centered, evidence-based chiropractic care. I believe chiropractic care is a viable and essential option for pain management and reducing dependency on opioids.” He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota. He worked closely with recently retired chiropractor Dr. Jay Patt, who referred Dr. McCraw to Western Sierra Medical Clinic.
Dr. McCraw became interested in chiropractic when he sustained a sports injury to his neck as a young man. He believes the chiropractic care helped minimize the pain and shorten the recovery time.
Dr. McCraw is enthusiastic about helping people get long-term benefits from chiropractic care by relieving pain, increasing mobility, and lessening or ending dependence on pain medication.
Before moving to the area, Dr. McCraw had his own chiropractic office where his goals were to promote wellness and health for the community. He provided spinal screenings and functional movement assessments for runners and cross fitters and gave health lectures to community organizations.
He joined Western Sierra Medical Clinic because he “loves the integrated medical model with the ability to refer to other in-house physicians,” which mirrors his values of providing patient-centered care and promoting family wellness using diversified chiropractic techniques, rehabilitation, and lifestyle medicine.
Dr. McCraw enjoys hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife and young daughter. He and his wife served as directors of his church’s health ministry. They collaborate with local medical providers to organize an annual health fair (with health screenings, educational sessions, and children’s programs) and a weight loss program open to the public.
